Ensuring that financial hardship does not stand between a patient and a second chance at life.

An intiative by MOHAN foundation

In India, many patients are medically ready for an organ transplant – a donor is available, doctors are prepared – yet the surgery does not happen.

The reason is simple: they cannot afford it in time.

Transplants in private hospitals cost several lakhs of rupees, and families often reach us after exhausting savings, loans and relatives. When funds fall short at the final moment, treatment is delayed or abandoned.

Anudaan – Making Transplants Affordable, an initiative of MOHAN Foundation, bridges this critical gap.

Through donations, partnerships and community support, we provide partial financial assistance directly to hospitals and help families combine government schemes and subsidies so life-saving transplantation can proceed without delay.

Many small contributions come together to save one life.

Because a transplant should depend on medical need — not financial ability.

Help a Patient reach transplant in time.

WHO WE ARE

Our Mission

Anudaan stands beside the financially marginalized in their fight against end-stage organ failure.

We believe that the value of a life can never be determined by the size of a bank balance. A transplant is not a privilege reserved for the few — it is a second chance at life that every person deserves.

Through strong partnerships with hospitals, individual donors, corporate partners, and government schemes, we work relentlessly to remove financial barriers and replace despair with hope.

Our mission is urgent and unwavering: to ensure that life-saving transplants are accessible, affordable, and equitable for every citizen who needs one.

Because survival should never depend on circumstance.

How Your Contribution Through Anudaan Works

  • Support a Life-Saving Transplant

Your contribution goes directly toward supporting underprivileged patients battling end-stage organ failure. Each donation helps bridge the financial gap that stands between a patient and a transplant.

  • Transparent Allocation & Responsible Funding

Anudaan works closely with hospitals, verified medical teams, government schemes, and funding partners to ensure every contribution is carefully assessed, transparently allocated, and responsibly disbursed toward genuine transplant needs.

  • Restore a Life, Rebuild a Future

Your support does more than fund a surgery — it restores health, reunites families, and gives patients the chance to live, work, and dream again. You become part of a life transformed.

Where Your Support Makes a Difference

We concentrate on high-cost, life-saving organ transplants — including kidney, liver, heart, lung, corneal, pancreal and intestinal transplants — that place overwhelming financial strain on underprivileged families.

By supporting these critical procedures, Anudaan helps ensure that financial hardship does not stand in the way of timely treatment, restored health, and renewed hope.

Tribute to Mr. Venkatesan

Anudaan was born from a father’s gratitude.

After his daughter successfully underwent a kidney transplant, Mr. Venkatesan felt a deep desire to give back — his way of thanking the universe for the second chance she had received. He believed that no family should have to stop at the threshold of life-saving treatment because of financial constraints.

His initial support led to the creation of Anudaan – Making Transplants Affordable. He remained closely associated with the initiative, continuing to contribute until the very end and helping many patients, especially children.

He was particularly moved by the struggles faced by girls and women coping with organ failure, and hoped they would never be denied care due to lack of resources. With this belief, he supported the idea that small acts of giving can come together to save a life — the very thought that shaped Anudaan.

In his memory, his family continues to support the initiative every year on his birthday, honouring his large-hearted and philanthropic nature and keeping alive his belief that gratitude must translate into action. All of us at MOHAN Foundation remain committed to carrying forward his compassionate vision.

“Through every patient helped, his kindness lives on.” — Mr. Venkatesan’s daughter
