Baby Prachiben Suthar

Where it Began

Baby Prachiben Vishnubhai Suthar, the only child of her parents, was the apple of everyone’s eye. Her family consisted of seven members, including her elderly grandparents and her paternal uncles (her father’s younger brothers).

Unfortunately, tragedy struck when Prachiben was just one and a half years old. She developed severe diarrhoea, and her parents immediately took her to the nearest hospital, where she was given medication, but with no improvement. She was then shifted to the District Hospital, where she received further treatment and her condition began to improve.

Just when her parents thought their struggles had come to an end, her health started deteriorating again after a short period of three months. Following several medical tests, she was diagnosed with Budd–Chiari syndrome. She was later referred to Gleneagles Hospital, where doctors advised a liver transplant as a life-saving treatment. Fortunately, Prachiben’s mother was found to be an ideal match for her daughter. However, with Prachiben’s father being the sole breadwinner of a family of seven, arranging the enormous cost of the liver transplant of Rs. 16.5 lakhs was an overwhelming challenge.

It was at this critical moment that the dedicated team at Gleneagles Hospital stepped in to help raise funds, and their appeal touched many compassionate hearts. MOHAN Foundation’s Anudaan initiative extended crucial support by contributing Rs. 2 lakhs towards the transplant.

On December 08, 2025, Baby Prachiben Vishnubhai Suthar successfully underwent a liver transplant. Through the kindness and generosity of strangers, Prachiben’s family was given a lifeline and the precious chance to see their little girl live and thrive.

“Watching our little daughter fight for her life was the most painful experience for us. When hope seemed to fade, the kindness and support we received gave Prachiben a second chance at life. We are forever grateful to the MOHAN Foundation and everyone who stood by our family during this difficult time.”- Mr. Vishnubhai Suthar, father.
